Orange Banana Smoothie
I love creating smoothies that are both sweet and tart.
This orange banana smoothie has the perfect combination of sweet and tart to be totally refreshing and tasty.
For this recipe, I am taking advantage of orange juice concentrate to give a nice strong orange flavor.
If you choose your concentrate wisely and look for one made with 100% juice, you can get one without yucky added ingredients that you don't need or want.
If you don't want to use orange juice concentrate or don't have it, you can sub it for more orange juice.
The orange flavor might not be as strong, but it will still be a tasty smoothie.
Again, I look for orange juice that is 100% juice because I don't want extra added, unnecessary ingredients in my orange juice or in my smoothie.
The recipe and a printable recipe can be found near the end of the post.
But I want to take a minute to answer a few commonly asked questions and also share my tips and tricks for modifying this recipe if needed.

No, you do not need to use frozen bananas in this smoothie recipe.
I love peeling my brown bananas and throwing them in my freezer for use in smoothies later.

Basically, frozen bananas are the best for smoothies!

If you don't have a frozen banana, you can use fresh.
You may need to add ice to this recipe to thicken it up and make it cold.
