What are the ingredients to make a green smoothie?
Green smoothies can be made out of so many ingredients! The important thing is that at least one of the ingredients is...you guessed it...green!
Spinach or kale are a great way to begin a green smoothie. Spinach has a more mild flavor than kale and so it is my preference to use most of the time. But kale is delicious too!
Spinach or kale give a beautiful green base to any smoothie and as long as you don't add any ingredients that are strongly red or purple, you can add almost anything to create a green smoothie.
I love adding fruits and veggies that are green, white, yellow or orange to green smoothies to keep the color green and the taste refreshing and delicious!
What blender is best for smoothies and milkshakes?
There are many blenders you can use for making smoothies, milkshakes and frozen drinks, but I personally own the Vitamix 780 and think it is simply the best. Green Apple Avocado Green Smoothie
Ingredients:
- 1 ripe Avocado
- 1 frozen Banana
- 1 Granny Smith Apple
- ½ cup Spinach
- ½ cup Milk
- 1 Tablespoon Honey
- ½ cup Ice
Directions:
- Place all ingredients in the blender of your choice and blend until smooth.
- Enjoy!
