Peach Pineapple Milkshake
Have you ever gone to a smoothie shop and gotten a delicious peach pineapple smoothie? They are delicious right?
Well most of the time, smoothie shops actually add ingredients like ice cream or sherbert to their smoothies. So you "think" they are healthy because they call them a smoothie, but really, they are a milkshake.
This is one of the reasons why I decided to start making my own milkshakes and smoothies at home. That way I know exactly what is going into them so I can make them as healthy, or as unhealthy as I want to!
And I try to be pretty clear on my blog too. Milkshakes are never ever healthy for you. Sorry. They just aren't.
If it IS healthy, I'm going to call it a smoothie! Because smoothies should be healthy for you!
So, to be clear, this is a delicious tropical milkshake recipe. And even though it does contain fruit, it really isn't very healthy for you!
But it is REALLY tasty, so grab your ingredients and enjoy this as a TREAT the next time you want a tropical dessert!

Will this peach pineapple milkshake last in the fridge?
Unfortunately, milkshakes are meant to be made and eaten right away. If you put a milkshake in the fridge, it will melt. If you put a milkshake in the freezer, it will refreeze and harden and be too hard to drink with a straw. If you absolutely need to freeze a milkshake for later, you will want to get it up a bit ahead of time and re-blend it in your blender until it is smooth again. The consistency may not be the same though as it originally was.
Can you make this pineapple milkshake without milk?
This milkshake recipe does not contain milk, it does, however, contain ice cream, which contains milk. If you are looking for a dairy-free milkshake, simply grab dairy-free ice cream and sub that for the regular ice cream in my recipe below. This is such a simple and easy way to enjoy a milkshake, dairy-free!

This one ingredient takes milkshakes (and smoothies too) to a whole new level. It is not really healthy, so I don't put it in smoothies often, but it really delicious in my Cranberry Truffle Smoothie.
